I decided to make fairy cakes last night. I was intent on baking a cake a couple of weeks ago and never bothered my backside so when I got home last night I decided to make them for Vonnie getting home whilst waiting for teh oven to heat up for the pasta bake I was making for dinner.

Now I used to be famed in the Home Economics for my sponge and it won me a few merits but last nights attempts were a disaster. Its been a good 4 years I think since I made cakes myself and I managed to get the proportions of flour/suger/butter all wrong and ended up using to much butter I think. Something went wrong at least and there was no way I could stick icing on these things.

In saying that though they we’re still damn tasty just not what I was expecting to make.

Next time I’ll get the ingrediants right!
