To quote one of my favourite songs…”I can’t get no sleep”

I don’t know wether its the stresses involved with the christening, a carry over form the pericarditis or a combination of both. I was up at about 5am with the dog again yesterday morning I think but after everyone was out to work/school/nursery I managed to sleep through until about 1pm. I felt great but Barry had been calling all morning and ended up coming over to check I was OK. I’d went straight into the shower after waking up and the phones were downstairs so I didn’t have a clue.

Skip to last night and I was as wide awake as I’d ever been I think and I finally managed to force myself to go to sleep at some point around 1am. Up again at 6am this morning and despite getting a few more hours again once everyone was away I’m like a zombie. I sat down on the couch for 5 minutes about an hour ago to check something on my mobile phone and the next thing I remember is the house phone ringing and I was lying on the couch.  Now I’m up again I still shattered but I know I won’t be able to sleep if I was to try.

It’s not insomnia its just my body recovering. I just wish I knew what exactly from so I’d have a clue how long it’s going to last.

So thats almost 2 weeks in the house over and done with and what exactly have we achieved? Not very much to be honest. Its in a livable state and thats about it.

Thanks to the money from the flat sale taking its sweet time coming through we’ve had to wait getting the bathroom sorted and the plumber kept either ignoring our txt’s or phonecalls and then not turning up when he said he would because apparently he’s rushed off his feet at the moment. He’s been though and had a look around but its going to cost us an arm and a leg to get it done

We’ve not managed to get the time to look at carpets etc purely because we’ve had to wait in on so many things. Telewest have been thier usual busy selves after our phone was installed as the first guy didnt install it on teh exchange correctly and then water got in the second time and ruined half the streets phonelines. I’ve been getting ear shattering static and cross lines all week thanks to that but hopefully its fixed now *fingers crossed*

And then the super duper fridge freezer broke. Or rather a fuse blew and took the temp sensor with it. Despite screaming blue murder down the phone at Comet and running up huge mobile phone bills thanks to the land line not working its been broken for a week and today the engineer finally turned up only to have been provided with the wrong bloody part.

See the person that said “You’ve been damn lucky with the move if nothings broken yet” I’m going to hunt you down and skin you alive. I wont turn you into a mansuit but I’m sure a couple of hanging baskets could be arranged.

What the hell was the guy thinking?

The lesson was supposed to be a bit more practice turning left then onto turning right followed by turning on the road. I got as far as turning on the road and he decided to to sack the last bit and go for a drive. The bugger had me me going around roundabouts, hitting forty and going up into 4th gear. Was going great until his mobile phone went off and teh next gear change I tried to put the hand brake on rather than change gear :S

He seemed to be impressed though but I did have to change my boxers when I got home
