The past couple of days have been weird. On the way home from work on tuesday I had real trouble keeping my eyes open. I thought I was shattered and my eyes were just giving up on me. I was tired though but when I got home I seemed fine.

Yesterday had me stressed to the high heavens with work but by the time I went home I was feeling the same except I’d completely lost my appetite at work so had no lunch and was very slightly disorientated. You know the way you get when you just a little to drunk and you move your head and it takes a second for your brain to catch up? Thats how I’ve been. Add into that a blinding headache, sore jaws and kidneys, an inability to either keep warm or stay cool and I’m generally not a happy chappy.

It’s always the same. I get a migraine and its either someone trying to put an icepick through one of my eyes for 10 minutes or its 3 days of feeling like I’m drunk and really hungover at the same time. It’s only been today that I’ve actually read up on migraines and it seems almost all of my symptoms from my mysterious stomach bug I keep getting can be attributed to my migraines. About the only one I can think of thats not quite in line is the length of time my stomach plays up for during my bouts of illness.

This wouldn’t actually be all that bad except becuase of my sick record this year I’m having to work through most of the times I’d normally call in sick. Today for example I’d usually take 2 co-codamol and let that knock me for six so that I’m not bothered by the pain or discomfort. As is I’m having to take one pill and work through it all whilst my head swims and home I don;t conk out at my desk fast asleep. I have to say though I’ve done not to bad today as anytime I’ve felt as though I was about to drop off I went for a walk and the cold in the central stairwells woke me right back up again.

So yeah, I’ve got a docs appointment tomorrow to see if they can work out whats going on. I’m trying really hard not to read symptoms and automatically assume thats what I have. I did that once with diabetes and it turned out I just drank to much irn bru. The caffiene was keeping me awake giving me sore eyes and keeping me thirsty and the more I drank the more I went to the toilet. Simple answer when you think about it.

I’ve spent today in a fuzz of headache and painkiller buzz. Been a very weird day thanks to that.

After work I managed to do something that I havent done before though and that was take the kids to the park. Our only problem is the nearest swing park we can think of is over a main road and about 5 minutes walk away :S

After that we had to go food shopping. With Vonnie being in the state she is I ran around Sainsburys whilst she went and got a few things from mothercare. just as I’m getting throught he checkout they turned up for me to find out Vonnie had fainted at the till. She was OK though and its not something that hasnt happened before so I finished packing the bags only for her to have a painful contraction. This brought on the funniest moment of the day and possibly the week when I clocked the look on the checkout girls face when she realised what was happening. After I’d checked with Vonnie that it wasn’t kicking off and that she was as OK as she could be I paid the girl for the shopping and then realised she didnt know wether to be more shocked at the woman giving birth at her till or the parnter that didnt seem to be worried by it all. Once that was over and we were heading home it took me about 5 minutes to remember that Vonnie had fainted! BEDREST MISS CAIRNS!

Didnt sleep very well last night at all. Kept waking up in weird positions or getting hit in the nuts or leg.

I really need a good nights sleep tonight but I dont think I’ll get one. Got to sort the bathroom in the flat out tonight so i’ll be high on bleach fumes. Gives me one hell of a headache

So far im on my 4th can of diet irn bur/coke in an attempt to caffiene myself awake but it doesnt seem to be working

Both Saturday and Sunday I think were planned as rest days. We aint doing nothing but lounging about and maybe tidying up after ourselves.

I was still drunk when I woke up and early on Vonnie realised it was going to be a nice day. We were given a choice…Calderglen or Largs. I favoured Largs as the fresh air might have done me some good. I wasn’t banking on VERY bright sunshine though which ended up giving me a worse headache than my eventual hangover ever could. We got a hold of Semp, Shug and Jen and headed down for a wee wander along the front…throwing stones into the water…watching Finn go on the rides…showing up shug at shooting games…eating candy floss…then getting soaked by Vonnie and going in a huff. Just a wee huff mind

After Shug had to leave to go to band practice we headed back to town and went to the CBK for some grub. That place is just packed but the grub is delicious….and for once the jelly wasn’t as hard as a brick!

By the time we got back to Vonnies flat and settled down for the night we were shattered and went to bed early.

Waking up on Sunday mornng I remembered we’d said we’d go up to my parents for a wee visit. Ended up getting there early on and catching some sun whilst playing with Findlay’s trainset. After dropping finn off with his dad we headed back to EK for some shopping and actually ended back at my parents and kicked aboutin the sun waiting for my Aunt Jill and my cousin Fraser to turn up with his girlfriend. They turned up and we had a bit of a natter then headed home via Vonnies Nan’s. God only knows whattime I got to bed at last night but I needed it!

now I just need to think of somethign for my mum’s birthday on Wednesday! :S
